“We had a great time at this cottage and enjoyed our stay. The property itself is beautiful, and the cottage was well stocked with everything we needed. We were disappointed by the dock, as it was not put together as advertised in the photos. It was disconnected in several places and sitting on an angle, which made it difficult to use. The cottage was clear of clutter, but the cleanliness upon arrival could have been better. We found socks under the bed from previous guests, there was a very noticeable amount of dirt, dust, and hair / pet hair throughout the cottage, and the couch had some staining. I ended up sweeping and mopping when we arrived, and I didn’t feel comfortable until it had been cleaned. Overall, the property is very nice. With some extra attention to cleaning and maintenance, it would be an even better experience. We had a wonderful stay and made great memories at the cottage.”
“My group and i had a nice stay at this location, the kayaks and pet friendly listing was a great bonus for our needs. The host is kind and very responsive. We had a great time fishing. Upon arrival, the home wasn’t very clean (walls dirty, floors sticky) and the home had a strange smell to it. We found shortly after once grabbing the kayak paddles from the garage, this was likely due to an abundance (4 bags) of garbage left in the warm garage (assumingly) from the last renters, or cleaning team. Something to be prepared for: We did experience a power outage after a very light rainfall on our first night which didn’t return until early the next morning/over 6hrs later - this was unexpected as the weather was light. The host and i did discuss a rebate on the cost of the rental, due to the loss of amenities. The back sliding door locks on its own occasionally. Only 1 window had a screen, so airflow was restricted in hot weather (unless you want a bunch of bugs!)”
